What kind of feedback did you get? How will this impact what you do next?
Background
People spent too much time on mobile phones to communicate and maintain their relationships with their friends and family members. Smartphone is becoming our window into the outside world.
Smartphones enable us to avoid direct conversations altogether. We can chat via text messages, or in real-time on social media, but there’s a danger that we’re missing out on some important aspects of communication when we do this.
challenge
To understand the extreme social media users, focusing specifically on lack of communication skills, with friends, family and the whole society. These insights will be leveraged to design a user-centered services or a product which reduce the usage of electronics, improves their social skills and tights their relationships.
Goal
Create a sustainable relationship community living.
Feedback from one-to-one's
· Segment Community – Once you understand your targeted community, segment the community. The 18-35 year olds have different requirements from 30-40 year old family audience.
· Community – Understand your target audience. Age, social beliefs, interests and non-interests.
· This topic is very broad, I need to narrow down for finding one specific organization to work on and it can really help me to find the real stakeholders. Understand the target audience. Age, social beliefs, interests and non-interests.
· I need to start from smaller things like talking to people in New York, and reach as much organizations and communities as possible.
· I need to create a research guide which could help me to figure out which area we want to focus on.
What's our next step
· The next step is definitely finding out one particular organization or community to work on. I'll learn more by speaking to the organization and the main stakeholders.
· In the next couple of weeks I should do a couple of interviews and think about what is the real situation that these people face as smartphone addicts.
